The Bible makes it very clear that knowledge of the Kingdom of God will be delivered to all the world: Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
What we didn't understand until now was that it will not be by man's efforts alone that this will be achieved: Revelation 14:6-7 "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."
Only recently has God revealed how it will be done, simply by linking these verses with another end-time prophecy in Joel 2:28-31 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come."
We see that this miraculous preaching of the gospel occurs close to but before the heavenly signs of the sixth seal: Revelation 6:12-13 "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind."
In fact Revelation 14 reveals that it occurs even before the fall of Babylon - the physical nations which have behaved like Babylon by desiring to dominate the world by their trade, wealth and power. These nations are quite different from the religious Babylon of Revelation 17, which falls much later.
Revelation 14:7 shows that this angelic preaching of the gospel occurs at the start of God's judgment upon the earth: "Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."
The first sign of the start of the last 7 years occurs when God warns mankind to repent and begin to worship the true God. Our God is most merciful and always gives us plenty of chance to change our ways before punishment. However, the great multitude who do repent have left it too late to be completely spared the Great Tribulation - Revelation 7:9 "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; [14] And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."
This knowledge that the great multitude experience the Great Tribulation of the last three and a half years means that they do not take part in the resurrection of the saints when Christ returns for them at the sixth seal earlier in Revelation 6:12-16: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; [13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. [14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. [15] And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; [16] And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb."
Also Matthew 24:29-31 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heaven shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
It becomes clear then that we cannot afford to wait until the last moment to repent. All the indications are that only those in a repentant and spirit begotten state when the angel delivers those dreams and visions will take part in the first resurrection. May God help us to prepare ourselves before that time !
